5.20 World Bee Day

Bees are responsible for pollinating one-third of the world’s crops and play a critical role in our lives and ecosystems. If bees were to face extinction, it would severely impact the food chain and lead to imbalances in our food supply.

However, in recent decades, global climate change, environmental pollution, and other issues have greatly reduced the places suitable for bees to live. To raise awareness about the importance of bees and sustainable development, the United Nations designated May 20th as World Bee Day in 2015, reminding people to reduce damage to the environment and increase awareness of treating bees kindly.

BioCycle works to protect bees, migrating hives and where possible helps to relocate them to bee farms, and wherever possible avoid killing bees when providing pest control solutions to customers, as to create a coexisting environment of humans and bees.
