Prevent seasonal flu promptly to protect your health

Flu peak season
Flu peak season periods are usually from January to March/April, and from July to August. The Hong Kong Government also recommends that everyone plays a role in helping to control influenza, by paying attention to personal hygiene. Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment can also help to prevent seasonal influenza. Here are some tips to enhance personal and environment hygiene.
Wash your hands frequently
Before touching the mouth, nose or eyes, or after touching public installations such as handrails or doorknobs; or when hands are contaminated by respiratory secretions after coughing or sneezing. Wash hands with liquid soap and water, and rub for at least 20 seconds. Then rinse with water and dry with a disposable paper towel or hand dryer.
Maintain good environmental hygiene
Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as furniture and commonly shared items.
